Lori L. Cobb
April 4, 1972 ~ February 2, 2017 (age 44)

GLENFIELD -  Lori L. Cobb, 44, of Donnattsburg Road, died on Thursday, February 2, 2017.

Mrs. Cobb, a daughter of D. James and Barbara Cole Ward, was born on April 4, 1972, in Carthage, New York.  After graduating from Harrisville Central School in 1990, she attended Mohawk Valley Community College and then graduated from Jefferson Community College with an associate’s degree in Human Services.  On June 17, 1995, she married Rodney M. Cobb at the Lowville United Methodist Church.  She worked first for the Lewis County ARC and then for the NYS DDSO for over twenty years.

Lori enjoyed riding motorcycles, working horses, and attending horse pulls and fairs with her fiancé, Ben Damuth, and most of all, spending time with her beloved children.  She will always be remembered for her strong personality and for making sure her kids knew they were loved and always came first, no matter what.  Always the first person to help when needed, she would do anything for anyone, even if she couldn’t.  She never gave up on trying to help and to better herself.  She had the biggest hippie heart you could imagine, and as she always, said, “Peace and Love.”

She is survived by a son, Garrett M. Cobb, 20, and a daughter, Brooklyn N. Cobb, 18, both at home; her fiancé, Ben Damuth, and his children, Derek, Payton, Dalton, and Paige; her mother, Barbara Ward, of Harrisville; a sister, Diane, and her husband, Donovan, of Chateaugay, New York; a brother, Michael, and Claudette, of Gouverneur; a sister, Lynette, and her husband, Westley “Hank” Boliver, of Croghan; and her beloved dog, Stella; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Lori is predeceased by her father, D. James Ward, and her husband, Rodney M. Cobb, who died on March 14, 2006.

A funeral service will be held Monday, February 6, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at the Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville, with Rev. Christopher Looby, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Evans Mills, officiating.  Burial will follow in the spring at the convenience of the family.  Calling hours will be from 12:00-3:00 p.m. before the funeral service at the funeral home.  Friends and family will gather at the 3G Fire Hall, Blue Street, Glenfield, immediately following the funeral.  Everyone is welcome.  Contributions may be made to the Lori Cobb Memorial Trust Fund for her children in care of Community Bank, 7605 N. State Street, Lowville, New York 13367.
