Roy J. Duncan
July 3, 1967 – January 2, 2018

Constableville- Roy J. Duncan, 50, of the West Road, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home while under the loving care of his family on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

A son of John L. and Annette M. Burmingham Duncan, Roy was born in Utica on July 3, 1967.  He grew up on the West Road between Constableville and Turin and attended Constableville Elementary School before graduating from South Lewis Senior High School with the Class of 1985.  While in high school, he enjoyed participating on the wrestling team.

Roy had a passion for dairy farming.  As a youth, he began by working on the Scott Markham Farm on the West Road.  After graduating from high school, he relocated to Pavilion, New York (Genesee County), where he worked for many years in various departments of the Noblehurst Dairy Farms, advancing to the position of herdsman.  Seriously injured in an automobile accident in October 2001, however, he had to retire at that time.  Thereafter, he resided at his parents’ home on the West Road.  In his spare time. Roy enjoyed cars, bowling, and playing cards.

In addition to his father, John, of Constableville, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Kim M. (John) Siegel, of Brantingham, and Mrs. Alice C. (Eric) Gokey, of Glenfield; two nephews, Christopher and Michael Siegel; four nieces, Miranda (Drew) Skiff, and Miriah, Annette, and Laci Gokey; two great nieces, Ella Patterson, and Hattie Skiff.  He was predeceased by his mother, Annette M. Duncan, on August 5, 1998.

There will be no public calling hours or services.  Memorial contributions may be made to Constableville Fire Company Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 438, Constableville, New York 13325.  His arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., Boonville.
