Helen A. Sech
December 31, 1931 - September 19, 2018

Surrounded by her loving family, Helen A. Sech, 86, of 34000 Lamb Road, Champion, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.

A daughter of the late Gerald and Ruth (Paris) Gregg, Helen was born on December 31, 1931, in the Village of Tylerville.  A graduate of Copenhagen Central School, she worked a short time for the Agricultural Insurance Company in Watertown.

On January 20, 1951, she married the love of her life, Francis H. Sech, at the Community Baptist Church in South Rutland, New York.  Their marriage lasted for sixty-eight years. They dedicated their life to farming and raising their family in the Hamlet of Champion.  In addition, for many years, she served as the Secretary/Treasurer of Hillside Cemetery in Champion.

Together they raised two sons of whom she was extremely proud.  They include John (Cathy) Sech and Stanley (Cindy) Sech, both of Champion.  Moreover, she, especially, enjoyed seeing her grandchildren:  Brian, Wayne (Shannon), Amber, William (Chloe), Jennifer, and Matthew (Mariah) and her great grandchildren:  Julia, Jack, Emma, Jude, Sami, Stella, Ford, Sofia, and Harper.  She is predeceased by her parents, Gerald & Ruth Gregg, and a sister and brother in law, Geraldine and Gilbert O’Dell.

A private graveside service in Hillside Cemetery, Champion will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home.
