Glenn R. Widrick
June 21, 1940 ~ May 2, 2018 (age 77)

CROGHAN – Glenn R. Widrick, 77, passed away Wednesday morning, May 2, 2018, under loving care of his family and Lewis County Hospice.

A son of the late Leon H. and Katherine D. Lehman Widrick, Glenn was born on June 21, 1940, in Kirschnerville, New York.  He attended both the Beaver Falls School and the Henry Hill School at Kirschnerville before returning to the Beaver Falls School.  He worked first at the Lewis Schweitzer Sawmill and then for Climax Manufacturing for eighteen years.  Next, he drove truck for Elmer Moser and Sons for over twenty-five years.  On June 25, 1960, he married Anna Margie Moshier at the Lowville Mennonite Church with Rev. Lloyd Boshart officiating.

A member of the Croghan Mennonite Church, Mr. Widrick held many positions within the church.  In addition, he had joined the Beaver Camp.  He enjoyed camping, traveling, hunting, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Margie; his three children and their spouses:  Colleen and Gene Sundberg, of Beaver Falls, Cheryl and Ed Steckly, of Croghan, and Cathi and Beryl Roes, of Beaver Falls; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Yousey, of Lowville; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Widrick, of Lowville, and Frances Widrick, of Bangor, Pennsylvania; and a brother- and sister-in-law, Dorrance and Janet Moshier, of Fort Meade, Florida; as well as by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He is predeceased by three brothers and two sisters: Derwood, Douglas, and Gerald (Betty) Widrick; and Imelda (Ronald) Hills and Maxine (Vernon) Nafziger, and a brother-in-law, Norman Yousey.

A memorial service will be held at the Croghan Mennonite Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, with Pastors Paul Mast, Bruce Roggie, and Ed Steckly officiating.  Calling hours will be at the Croghan Mennonite Church from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2018.  A private burial will follow in the Croghan Mennonite Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to the Beaver Camp, 8884 Buck Point Road, Lowville, New York 13367, or to the Croghan Mennonite Church, Attn:  Awana Program, P.O.
