Boonville – Florence M. Wieczerzak, 89, of the East Road, died on September 4, 2018, at the K.B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Florence was born in the Town of Martinsburg on January 9, 1929, to Joseph and Anna Waligora Karpinski.  Beginning in 1961, she operated a very successful dairy farm on the East Road.  Moreover, she had a great love of taking care of all the farm animals.  A member of St Martin’s Church, Port Leyden, she enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and baking, blueberry picking, and visiting the homestead.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Reginald Wieczerzak, of New York, New York, and Frederick and Gail Wieczerzak, of Boonville; a daughter, Linda Wieczerzak, of Tobaccoville, North Carolina; her grandchildren:  Dean Moshier, Ashley Ellinger, Elise Wieczerzak, Nichole Parsons, and Gwendolyn Failing; her great grandchildren:  Jaylin Mabe, E. Lane Malpass, Brody and Aliyah Ellinger; a sister, Pauline Germanski and a brother, Paul Karpinski, both of Boonville. She was predeceased by a daughter, Diana Moshier, in 2005; and eight siblings, Edward, Stanley, and Raymond Karpinski; Jennie Lee; Georgiana Kolock, Charlotte Liss, and Stella Doolen.

A prayer service will be held Monday, September 10, 2018, at 9:45 a.m. at the Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post Street, Boonville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Martin’s Church, Port Leyden, with reverend Lawrence Marullo officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Boonville.  Calling hours are scheduled for Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
