Frederick C. Wieczerzak
May 14, 1962 - September 29, 2018

Boonville- Surrounded by his family, Fred Wieczerzak, 56, passed away suddenly on September 29, 2018, after a short illness.

A son of late Florence (Karpinski) and Walter Wieczerzak of Boonville, New York, Fred was born on May 14, 1962.  On August 27, 1987, he married Gail M. Schue.  A thirty-one-year marriage blessed with two daughters followed.

Fred worked at various construction jobs before taking over the dairy farm he had grown up on.  Currently, however, he was employed with Kellogg’s Dry Wall and Painting of Turin, New York.

Nonetheless, his true passion lay within his garage and his need for speed.  Although he spent most of his life engaged in labor intensive work, he would devote any free time to either one of his Camaros, his pride and joy.  Thus, he spent his summer weekends at the drag strip with his son-in-law.  Moreover, he adored spending time with his grandkids and introducing his grandson to motorsports.  Otherwise, his hobbies included hunting on his farmland, relaxing at family camp on Tug Hill, and snowmobiling with friends and family.  Indeed, Fred valued his family and spending time with them, especially on his annual vacation at Lake George, a trip which he had made every year for the last fifteen years.  Lastly, Fred could lighten any mood with his memorable joking around.

In addition to his wife, Gail, of Boonville, he is survived by two daughters, Ashley (Stephen) Ellinger, of Boonville, New York, and Elise Wieczerzak, of Rochester, New York; his grandchildren:  Tyler, Brody, and Aliyah Ellinger; his sister, Linda Wieczerzak (Ben Coe), of Tobaccoville, North Carolina; and his brother, Reginald Wieczerzak, of New York, New York.  Fred was predeceased by a sister, Diana Moshier, and his father-in-law, Donald Schue

A prayer service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at 9:45 a.m. at the Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post Street, Boonville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Our Hope/St. Joseph’s Church, Boonville.  Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday, October 3, 2018, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
