JoAnne M. Williams
January 5, 1970 ~ September 3, 2020

Glenfield – JoAnne M. (Baslow) Williams, 50, of the Greig Road, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020, at the Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville.

JoAnne was born on January 5, 1970, in Lowville to Richard O. and Joan M. Kornatowski Baslow.  Growing up in Port Leyden, she received her education at Port Leyden Central School.  For a time, she was married to Harvey G. Williams, but they divorced.  Through the years, JoAnne was employed first at Rome Cable Company and then at the Family Dollar Distribution Center, both of Rome.

JoAnne enjoyed taking care of her home.  She liked changing rooms around and making her decor look fresh and new.  In addition, she had a knack for gardening and taking excellent care of her houseplants.  Above all else, however, JoAnne valued her family.  Indeed, she, literally, cherished the time she spent with her daughters and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters:  Melissa Williams (Josh Millard), of Constableville, and Tiffany Williams (Chase Nagy), of Glenfield; her grandchildren:  Emily, Joshua, Jr., and Matthew Millard; and Gabrielle, Anthony, Payslee, and Beau Nagy; her companion, Bruce Williams, of Glenfield;  her mother, Joan Baslow, of Port Leyden; and her siblings:  Rick (Rhonda) Baslow, of Port Leyden, Angela Baslow, of Lyons Falls, and David Baslow, also of Port Leyden. She was predeceased by her father, Richard O. Baslow, on August 19, 2015, and her sister, Mary Lynn Baslow, on December 24, 2001.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. in the Calvary Cemetery, Port Leyden, with Rev. Lawrence Marullo officiating.  Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box #682, Lowville, New York 13367.
