Laura T. Williamson

Constableville— Surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Lewis County Hospice, Laura T. Williamson, 82, of James Street, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020.

Born on August 2, 1937, in Utica, New York, to Thomas and Victoria Kilbourn Ferjet, she grew up in Forestport, graduating from Forestport High School in 1956. On May 2, 1959, she married her loving husband, Wallace (Bill) Williamson, at the Boonville Presbyterian Church.

They settled in Constable where Laura became a longtime member of the Constableville Methodist Church.  There, she taught Sunday school for many years.  A faithful Christian, she loved the Lord and her church family.  A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed cake decorating and quilting.  Employed at the Constableville Elementary School Cafeteria for sixteen years, she retired in 2001.

Surviving are her husband Wallace (Bill), her children:  Steven Williamson and Shawn Alsip and Gary and Diana Williamson, all of Middletown, Ohio, Dale and Theresa Williamson, of Lyons Falls, Deborah and Bryon Elkins, of Austin, Texas, and Tracy and Stacey Bureau, of Bethel, Connecticut; her grandchildren:  Eric Farr, Ashley and Moe Ordell, Brad and Melissa Williamson, Bethany and Michael Wendt, Evan Bureau, Lauryn Elkins; and her great grandchildren:  Christopher Williamson, Emma and Alexis Williamson, Dylan Wendt, Max and Harlyn Ordell, and Barrett Farr. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters:  Thomas (Ham), George (Bucko), Joan Kline, Betty Ferjet, Lucille Allen, Carol Wood, Mary Scouten, and Alice Williams.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at the Constableville Rural Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.  Please wear a face mask and practice social distancing.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Constableville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 9, Turin, New York 13473-0009. The Mills Funeral Home, Boonville, is in charge of the arrangements.
