GLENFIELD-Ronald E. Tiffany, 65, of Fayetteville, New York, formerly of Glenfield, passed away suddenly from heart failure on Monday, April 2, 2012, at his home.

In June 1964, Ron graduated from South Lewis Central School and in 1966, from Canton Tech.  He, then, went on to graduate from Albany State University in 1968 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.  After serving with the United States Air Force for four years, he was honorably discharged on July 3, 1972, at the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Employed as a senior programmer with Salina Office Services from 1972 until he retired in 2009, Ron played a key role in developing software for the administration of nursing homes.  Otherwise, he enjoyed spending time with family at the family camp on Chase Lake.  An avid movie critic, he, also, liked reading.

Ron was born in Lowville, New York, on July 6, 1946, to Donald and Sarah McCue Tiffany. He is survived by his mother Sarah Tiffany; three sisters and brothers-in-law:  Linda (David) Seymour, of-Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Margaret (John) Jaconski, of Manlius, New York, and Barbara (Scott) Kellogg,-of Hadley, Massachusetts; a brother and his wife, Richard (Carol) Tiffany, of-Croghan, New York; and a brother-in-law, Michael LaFave, of Voorheesville, New York; as well as by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews that were his pride and joy.  He was predeceased by his father, Donald Tiffany, in 2002 and a sister, Lori LaFave, in 2003.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at the Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville, with the Rev. Bruce Chapman, a family friend officiating.  A calling hour is scheduled from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Old Glendale Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glenfield Methodist Church, c/o Elinor Olmstead, Glenfield, New York 13343.
